50 Best Websites PDF Print E-mail
Written by RD
Monday, 23 June 2008

It is the start of the summer. Time for many outdoors stuff. Also time to take a break from thinking about work all the time. Since I have planned to do the same this summer, why not write something also not so related to work. Hence this one.

I was going through the 50 best websites 2008 and there are many interesting sites I found and useful.

With rocketing gas price, obviously the "Gas Buddy" topped the list.  TripKick and WikiTraval would be useful if you are a frequent traveler.

Another cool site I liked is SearchMe and it gives a panormic view of the search results in the original page with Mac like navigation. I searched psadmin and boom, psadmin.org is #1 Wink

Another site which I worth mentioning is MapJack, which is useful if you are visiting a new place, especially tourist destinations and want to view them before you go there. Lake Tahoe is my favorite place for both summer and winter which has pictures of it. They have only covered a few cities but they are adding more.

Even though it is not one of the top 50s in 2008, I though it is worth mention it here, WebGuild. It is from silicon valley where the latest things on information technology is happening.  Also two more technology blogs that you want to read often are GigaOM and AllThingsD which brings you the comments and news about the latest technology.

If you live and sleep IT or you live in silicon valley or you are an IT entrepreneur, you will find this blog interesting. This blog is maintained by D.Shah OnStartups.com, who is Founder, CEO and Chief Architect of hobspot.com. Crunchbase is another site which is like a database of techology companies and prominent people in technology area and it gives a 360 view of the companies in one page.  You can find the feeds of his blog in the "Feeds" section here.
